Sending CallTaker Messages
To send a message using CallTaker, dial the CallTaker telephone number.
When the call is answered, type in your PIN followed by * followed by the Message Identification Number (MIN). For example:
If your PIN is 1234 and the MIN is 001, you will need to enter 1234*001.
If you have entered the digits correctly, the CallTaker will respond with its call accepted message and advise you to hang up.
If you have not entered the digits correctly, the CallTaker will respond with its call rejected message and ask you to retry.
Once a message has been accepted by CallTaker, the Message/Incident will be displayed in WorkMonitor.
Messages accepted by CallTaker will be displayed in colour, priority 1 messages are displayed in red, and other messages are displayed in amber.
These colours are also used in CallTaker Monitor.
